Providence and Spice Grove Baptist Churches

Godfrey Watson has been with IGM since 1998. On December 16, 2006, he married Launa. They are now serving the Lord together in two rural churches: Providence Baptist Church and the Spice Grove Baptist Church, which are twelve miles apart. His ministries entail preaching on Sundays, teaching Bible studies on Tuesdays and Thursdays, instructing and discipling new believers, visitation and soul winning. Pastor Watson’s other activities include being the executive member of the Association of Independent Baptist Churches of Jamaica and he also serves on the ministry team for AWANA clubs of Jamaica. He also serves his community in many different ways.

Vision:

• Spiritual growth and stability of believers
• Numerical growth of membership
• Evangelizing the communities and seeking to reach more of the male population (They are more reluctant to respond positively to the Gospel)
• Complete the building program which is now in progress at Spice Grove Baptist Church. The church has rebuilt the walls of the church inside an older building which is badly deteriorated due to termite damage. They need help to raise funds to put on a new metal roof.

• Funds to complete construction at Spice Grove Baptist Church

• Continued growth (spiritual and numerical) of the churches
• Salvation of men and their addition to the churches
• Revival in both churches
• Good health for my family
• Acquisition of a motor vehicle
• Completion of the building program at Spice Grove Baptist Church within the project time.
