UPDATE - Samuel Comising, National Church Planter, Philippines 3/11/10
Grace and peace be with you and warm greetings. It is so hard to recover from sorrow after the sudden passing away of my beloved wife and ministry partner of 48 years. My wife, Miriam, went home to be with the Lord last November 7. Praise God I am slowly recovering from this difficult situation.
On January 31 I baptized five new believers, after which they were added as members of Blessed Hope Christian Church- Molino. We also praise the Lord for the opportunity of reaching children in our surrounding community. Three centers were opened for Good News Club Centers. Praise God for the many young people and adults who volunteered to teach. Recently I have also opened two new Home Bible Studies. The visitation and gospel tract distribution ministry is also continuing.
This coming April 16-26, BHCC Molino together with BHCC Dasmarinas (Pastor Timothy Comising) will conduct medical missions in 2 places. We planted BHCC Gaswiling church in the Ibaloi tribe last August 2009. This will be a revisit and another medical mission targeting 500 persons in the wider area of Gaswiling, Kapangan and Benguet. We also hope to baptize the new believers and strengthen them in the faith. A native pastor accepted the call to serve the Lord in this place. We are also praying to reach another 500 persons in the area of Bagyonas, Kapangan and Benguet through medical missions. We are praying to plant another church in the Kankanaey tribe. Talks are ongoing to call another native pastor to be deployed in this place also. Please pray for our financial need in this important church planting endeavor. We are praying to raise two thousand dollars for medicines, transportation, food and accommodations for all our volunteer doctors, dentists, nurses and counselors. Please pray for the salvation of those with whom we will come into contact. Please pray also for our safety from communist rebels who abound in these places.
Thank you for your prayers and support in the ministry.
