UPDATE - Koffi & Elisabeth Wodome, National Church Planter, Togo 7/14/10
The month of May began with two graduations in the family. First Elizabeth graduated with an Associate Degree on May 13, and the next day, Friday, the whole family went to Pensacola Christian College for Joshua's graduation. Those were days of rejoicing, and the excitement culminated when we saw our son walk on the platform to receive his high school diploma. We wanted to shout, “THAT IS OUR JOSH! GREAT JOB, WELL DONE!” but had to hold it until the last student was off the stage. We also are thankful to the Lord that Joshua chose to attend PCC. The school year is also over for Samuel. We are having a lot of fun.
Our deputation took us to five different states, where we had great meetings. We praise the Lord for Dr. Crum and his family, who made their guest apartment available for us while we spoke in churches in Madison. From there we continued our trip to Elkhart, where Brother Dave Singell and his wife Val also took good care of us. We resumed our travel with our last meeting in Wanatah, IN. In every one of the churches we have visited, we have met godly people and congregations who love the Lord and are serving Him faithfully. It is amazing for us to see the Lord at work as we share the common vision of reaching the world with gospel.
Last Sunday, on our way back from Whileyville, we stopped at 'Tamarack' while waiting for a heavy rain to pass. Then we continued our journey back through the mountains to Winston-Salem. We shout praises to the Lord for safe travel and good health. The next morning we received the exciting news of a new supporter, for which we are so thankful. We are pleased to tell you that we now have 58% of our needed support. We continue to pray and fast, asking the Lord to provide the rest of the support this year. December still is our target date.
During the last two months we have put more than 3000 miles on our car, bringing the total mileage to 166,000. Many repairs have been done. The two major repairs were fixing the head gasket and changing all four tires. In order to do the repairs, we have borrowed $1,000 from our ticket account with IGM. There is a great feeling of security after the repairs were done, but the truth is that our lives are in the Lord‟s hand.
After all we are tired and exhausted from our travels and need some rest.
Praises:
- Praise God for all the families who opened their homes to host us.
- Praise God for safety and good health during our travels.
- Praise God for the car repairs.
- Praise God for a new supporter.
- Praise God for 58% of support.
Prayer requests:
- Pray that the Lord would provide the rest (42%) of our support this year.
- Pray for safety and health as we travel.
- Pray that the Lord would lead us to the right churches.
- Pray that the Lord would bless our supporters.
Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support.
