UPDATE - Kangbaliba "Robert" and Naomi Lompo, National Church Planter, Burkina Faso 6/22/10

Robert Lompo familyThank you for your prayers and your faithful support during this second quarter of the year. We praise the Lord for his protection and his support in the ministry. It is with joy that we share here with you what God made in our lives and through us during these last three months. In April we celebrated Easter Easter fellowshipwith joy. On this occasion we baptized five people, including Michée, our son. After worship we organized a church fellowship meal. Then we evangelized in the district in the afternoon, and God saved four people that day.

On May 13, we commemorated our Lord Jesus' Ascension Day in the classified forest of Ouagadougou. We were seventy people who met together; it was a great moment in worship and fraternal communion, meditation and prayer. We reserved a good time for entertainment, we walked in the forest and the children visited the animal park. It was really edifying.

May 20 to 22, we had a seminar at church on the topic: “Our attitude facing the signs of the end times”. God has told us concerning world events, and also things which are to happen between God's people. The base for the world government is in position: false Christs and false doctrines are working in the Church; abominable things are tolerated more and more, even among Christians. All this should not leave us indifferent. “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love, and to good works: as the manner of some is: but exhorting one another, and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” (Heb.10:24-25).

As we had announced to you in our preceding news, Naomi and I went to Lome, Togo, from May 23 to June 2 to teach at a training seminar for marital counselor couples. Twelve couples from four churches took part in this second level seminar. The Lord blessed the seminar by equipping his servants for this important ministry in Togo. We had to drive more than 2000 km going and returning. For those who know the bad quality of our roads here, you know this is a great exploit. Thank you for your prayers which accompanied us.

Concerning the Péniel Evangelical Center (C.E.P), we found the land; it’s a great relief and a subject of thanksgiving to God. But until now, we do not have money necessary to buy this land. Thank you for praying for this important and urgent need.

Concerning the family, we all are in good health. Debora is completely cured; we thank you for your gifts which enabled us to treat her. The school year also is at its end. We bless God for Débora's and Michée's success in their exams of the BEPC. As for Georgette, she began this week her exam of the BAC. Thank you so much for your prayers and all that you have done to support our family and our ministry. May God bless you in return!

Before the ending, we share some subjects to guide your prayers for us:

  • Soon vacation camps will start. Two camps are programmed:
    • July 4 -10 for teens
    • July 25 -31 for younger children

All of our children wish to take part in these camps; Débora and Michée in the teen camp and Abdiel and Schiphra in the children's. Georgette is a counselor, therefore she will attend both camps.

  • Pray that God provide $2500 to pay the first part of Peniel Centre’s land cost.

Thank you for your prayers for all these needs and may God bless you richly in Jesus' unconditional name!
