UPDATE - Jacsene & Marie Orelus, National Church Planter, Pierre-Payen, Haiti 3/9/10
Dear Prayer Partners,
Greetings in the most wonderful name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Just a short note to let you know that I love you and that I continue to remember you in my daily prayers. I'm so thankful for your prayers and support. Dear friends, we are turning another page of history in Haiti. Our country is faced with the results of the earthquake that destroyed the capital of Haiti and many who disappeared. Many families are without parents; there are so many orphans. I praise the Lord for His mercy; Romans 8:28. We are still there with our God because He is merciful, Eph. 2:4.
We do thank you for your love, your prayers and your support. We received your special relief support through IGM from our coordinator, Brian Hampton, who really loves us. Thank you so much for your help and your prayers. Please continue to remember us. Praise the Lord, February 21st we had Pastor Brian and David Singell with us, and David preached to our congregation. Twenty people came to know Christ as their Savior. January 12-14, we met together for prayer and fasting after the earthquake. We preached about the Lord and 597 people confessed their faith in Christ. Please pray for the souls of the people in Haiti now. God is using this situation to turn many souls to Himself.
Brothers and sisters, we face further difficulties as many people need food. Many are leaving Port-au-Prince to live in the country. I have many people staying in my home; please pray and help us to feed them. Every day, people are asking for prayer. This is the time of a great harvest of soul-winning. Thank you for your compassion and love. I Cor. 15:58.
