UPDATE - Darrell & Connie Case, Souls for Christ Prison Ministry 6/22/10

Connie and I are so thankful for your continued prayers and support of this ministry. The Lord has blessed with salvation professions in the Vigo County Jail and better attendance at Vermillion. The Clark County Jail has good response and the Carlisle prison has a good spirit.  Please be in prayer for Carlisle as the afternoon Bible studies have ended; however, the church services are continuing on Wednesday evenings. The attendance at Robinson varies, but the hands raised during the invitation are a blessing. Pastor McIntyre from Independent Baptist Church in Montezuma has ministered with me a few times and filled in occasionally. Chris McCoy is also a blessing in the Vigo jail as he has led several inmates to the Lord. Please continue to pray for our counselors who send and grade the Bible lessons. One is still recovering from a broken arm in February. She is doing better, but is still having therapy.& We praise the Lord for our counselors.

On a personal note, we finally have our vegetable garden out. We tilled the rows a little differently and have planted corn, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, beans and peppers. We planted all in seeds, except the tomatoes. As of this writing, all the seeds seem to be growing except the peppers. Also, please continue to pray for both our mothers. Mine is a little weaker, and not getting out as much as she did in years past. Connie’s is a little better, but her hip, right shoulder and left foot are still in need of healing. She is thankful for all the prayers. Connie is glad to say, "They’re back!" We have seen a couple hummingbirds, not as many as we’d like but we are thankful for these. We so much enjoy the wildlife God has created. It is a blessing to sit at our kitchen window at times and watch the antics of squirrels, chipmunks, birds, rabbits, turkeys, and raccoons. They can put on quite a show.
