UPDATE - Darrell & Connie Case -" Souls for Christ" Prison Ministry 10/21/09

Darrell & Connie CaseWe are so thankful for your continued prayers and support of this ministry. The response is good in the Vigo jail, and although the attendance is down at Vermillion and Clark County jails, the spirit is good. Some of the experienced offender leadership have stepped down to allow new Christians to take over in Sunday and Wednesday services at Carlisle. Please pray for these new ones as they grow in guidance and faith. Also, some of the cell houses have been on lock-down the last few weeks, for various reasons. Our correspondence Bible study is growing and we are very thankful for our counselors.

Sunday night at Robinson Correctional Facility, we saw the Lord working as the attendance reached 107 and several raised their hands during the invitation to accept Christ as their Savior. Praise the Lord! Also God answered prayer with a man named John Thompson, Jr.  John's father is chaplain of the juvenile center in Terre Haute. Monday night, John Jr. ministered with us in the Vigo County jail and his first full night won 3 men to the Lord. Thank God for this young man.

Please keep Connie's mom, Edith, in your prayers. She will be scheduled for rotator cuff surgery (again) soon. Please pray that Medicare and her insurance will take care of the bills. She will be 86 on the 29th of October. Please pray that the Lord will increase our support, as the cost of living has risen. With the holidays approaching, we will want to do some Christmas shopping as well. May God bless you all!
