Rev. and Mrs. Paul Manyara are national missionary partners, serving with IGM since August, 2007. Rev. Manyara is the primary administrator of Moffat Bible College, a post-secondary level Bible College in the community of Kijabe, Kenya, East Africa. This school has permanent registration with the Kenyan government and offers one and two year Certificates, a three year Diploma, and a one year Higher Diploma. The school is currently pursuing registration for a degree-granting program through the Kenya Commission for Higher Education. Rev. Manyara trains students from Kenya, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Tanzania in the areas of Marriage and Family Counseling, and Church Planting. The college also trains all students in the area of HIV/AIDS Education. Our students who are trained in Chaplaincy & Counseling graduate to work in prisons, hospitals, schools, and orphanages. The Manyaras also administer the Tumaini Children's Ministry, which aids orphans and underprivileged children with school fees and expenses.
As the school's primary administrator, Rev. Manyara is responsible for the following areas:
- administrative and faculty representation to the Board of Governors
- leadership of administration, faculty, staff, and students
- maintaining the quality of the academic program
- assuring that the college remains financially viable
- liaison with the local community enabling students to offer counseling and teaching services in the local hospital, children's surgical hospital, government schools, and churches.
Mrs. Leah Manyara is responsible for the following areas:
- working with orphans, the poorest of the poor in the local community
- supervising 3 feeding centers within a 50 mile radius where orphans are given one meal a day 6 days a week; many of them also receive medical assistance, school uniforms, clothing, and other personal necessities
- supervising a training and feeding program for widows in various church locations
- coordinating, teaching and physically assisting the wives of Moffat students who have brought their families to school for studies
- mentoring a core group of Moffat students
- coordinating women's fellowships and studies at the district level for churches in their denomination.
