Metedieu & Marie Lucien

Missionary Baptist Church, Delmas

Metedieu and Marie Jo Lucien have been serving with IGM since 1993.  After planting several churches around the country of Haiti, Metedieu is now the pastor of the Missionary Baptist Church, a new church under construction in Delmas, Haiti.  Metedieu proclaims the Gospel from the pulpit, person to person, home by home, and by distributing tracts and brochures to bank employees, schools, colleges and universities.  He also preaches at revival meetings in public places and teaches and counsels in camp meetings.

General Ministry Goals and Projects:

• Reaching as many people as possible with the Gospel.
• Planting more churches.
• Establishing Christian elementary schools at every church to help poor children receive a basic Christian education.
• Developing a food program to feed the orphans.

Specific Short-Term Goals:

• Raising the funds to repair and finish the construction of Missionary Baptist Church in Delmas.
• Establishing a Christian school at the church.
• Starting a professional school to teach the young people various vocational skills.

Mid-Term:

• Planting other churches and schools in villages and mountain areas, and starting programs to educate the young people who do not attend school.

Long-Term:

• Founding a college to train pastors and evangelists to plant churches in Haiti.
• Purchasing a large piece of property for camp meetings.
