The Kumars joined IGM in 2010. Rev. Prakash Kumar was born and brought up in Delhi in an orthodox Hindu family. He graduated from the United Christian Senior Secondary School in 1982 and was saved in 1984. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Theology from Allahabad Bible Seminary and Master's Degree in Ministry from International Institute of Church Management, Chennai. Rev. Kumar entered broadcast ministry in 1985, where he worked for 25 years as Audience Relations Officer and Program Producer. Prakash and Savita were married in 1994. Like Prakash, Savita is the first believer in her family. God blessed the Kumars with a baby boy, Prashant, in 1995 and beautiful twin daughters, Rachel and Rebecca, in 1998.

Prakash - "My forefathers were idol worshippers and they never believed in the living God, although they were working in mission schools and hostels. I used to come to church from my childhood. Rev. Gulshan Lal worked hard for me. When I was a little child, he came to our house to take me for Sunday school; not only Sunday school, but he also brought me to gospel meetings and taught me from the Bible.  He put a lot of effort into building my Christian faith and life."

Along with broadcasting ministry, Rev. Kumar began a Church ministry in 1990. God has used him in a mighty way for the extension of His Kingdom. They have currently planted 67 house churches in northern India. (Delhi-8, Uttar Pradesh-9, Rajasthan-1, Punjab-7, Bihar-36, Haryana-5, Uttrakhand-1)
