John & Wendy Bovard

Mt. Kenya Ministries

John and Wendy Bovard joined IGM in 2008. John is the son of David Bovard,  IGM Founder and Director (1968-2000). The Bovards were instrumental in developing the Mt. Kenya ministry, which includes several churches and orphanages. The Bovards are currently involved in a church planting ministry in Africa, and with outreach ministries to prisoners and to abused women in Uganda. Wendy, a nurse, often travels to other countries to help in medical missions. The Bovards are the parents of 4 children, Jonathan, Rebecca (Boonstra), Reah (Githaiga), and Ruth. Beka and her husband, Ryan, are also IGM Missionaries in Kenya. The Bovards also have 2 adopted Kenyan sons, David and Stanley.
