Jesus Loves Children. . .
Children are a high priority in our Lord’s ministry. He made this
fact very clear by warning man to care for children in a proper
manner. Matthew 18:5-6 declares, “And whoso shall receive one such
little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of
these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a
millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” The world is
filled with children who are abandoned, live in utter poverty, and
need help to even live to adulthood. By sponsoring an orphan, you
can make a difference in a child’s life which can last for all
eternity.
Partnering with us. . .
IGM helps facilitate care for orphans, both spiritually and
physically, through orphanages and foster care. It is not IGM’s
intention to take such care away from the national pastors, but
instead to work with selected Bible-believing national pastors, enabling them to
provide care for orphans who are orphans indeed. The national
pastor provides the general oversight of the orphans that are under
his care.
The IGM International Orphan Director provides accountability
through accurate records and actual visits to the sources of care.
Each national pastor is required to submit a monthly financial
report on the distribution of funds received.
IGM encourages sponsors to help meet the needs of the orphans. Such
sponsors are encouraged to pray and seek the Lord’s will before
making a year’s commitment. The money given is used to provide food
(spiritual and physical), clothing, shelter, and education.
Building a Relationship. . .
The IGM Orphan Office will send you a picture and information to
help you get acquainted with your orphan. Many sponsors become
identified with “their” orphan by writing or visiting their orphan
on a short-term mission trip. From time to time you may receive
correspondence from your orphan. Please do not send gifts directly
to your orphan; send only financial gifts to the IGM office,
designated for your orphan. IGM, as a total “Faith Mission”, takes
no percentage from your support of an orphan, but does encourage an
additional gift to operate the orphan ministry.
