UPDATE - Sylvester & Beverly Greene, National Church Planter, Jamaica 9/1/10

Sylvester & Beverly GreeneGreetings through the Lord Jesus Christ. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness. Lam. 3:22-23. What an awesome God we serve, even when we are so frail he chooses to call us as laborers together with him.

The eighth month of the year is over and I am still alive and have you as our ministry partner. Thanks for all the assistance that you have given over the years which has helped us continue the task that God has given. Since May I have been conducting a lot of funerals. I have also seen many individuals making commitments to Jesus Christ. I thank God for death, because it reminds me that God’s Word is true. It also gives me the opportunity to present God’s Word to many with whom I would not otherwise have had the privilege of sharing.

UPDATE - Casimir & Cheneron Thomas, National Church Planter, Grenada 8/31/10

Casimir & Cheneron ThomasDear praying saints, Greetings to all from the Thomas family of Grenada and the saints at Providence Independent Bible Baptist Church. Thank you for all the prayers and financial support you have given to our ministry and our house project over the past years. These supports are recorded in glory. We have had some great challenges; some simple and some very complex, but through God all things are possible.

Providence BC VBSIn July we had some great ministries. We had two teams come from the US to minister to our folks in VBS and evangelism. At VBS we broke our previous record of the number if kids present. We started with 36 and ended with 126 kids. Twenty-three prayed and invited Christ into their hearts. AMEN! During our evangelism we had one week of solid Bible preaching. A group of young men and a few young ladies responded to the gospel. Our church folks really came out to support these meetings. We have seen a great change in the lives of our people, they are really growing and loving the things of God; please pray for them.

UPDATE - Clifford & Lilibeth Snyder, Missionary to Philippines 8/31/10

Clifford and Lilibeth SnyderYou know of the ministry the Lord has called us to in the Philippines, and how we are still active over there, though not present at the time. Well, lately the Lord has been bringing Filipino people into our lives that live right here in the lower Yakima Valley area, and is opening a door for us to minister and reach out to them while we are still in the US. Please pray for the results of our first Filipino potluck dinner, held Friday, August 27 at our fellowship hall in Outlook. Lilibeth has already had at least a couple of opportunities to share with a Filipino woman who is Catholic but very open to the Gospel. Please pray for Ethel, and also Lilibeth as she ministers to her and others. Several of the women are married to American men, which also opens the door for cross-cultural, mixed-marriage ministry. Please pray for wisdom and direction as we carry out the Lord's calling.

UPDATE - George & Bette Gray, Circle of Love Blind Ministry 8/31/10

George GrayGreetings to you all in Christ. Our summer here has been HOT! Today we are to hit 100 with the heat index higher still. I would not make a good resident of hell since I do not tolerate heat very well!  Praise His Holy Name though, because of His grace alone I do not have to worry about that. I trust the same is true of you reading this letter.

Praise the Lord a local Bible-believing church in Louisiana sent me a 1 on 3 Sony tape duplicator. It works great and we will put it to good use for the Lord. In the past two months, 15 samples of Circle of Love ministry tapes have been sent out. Our mailing list continues to grow, for which we praise the Lord. Last month we also placed two KJV talking Bibles in the hands of 2 blind readers of Circle of Love. These are truly marvelous electronic devices. Rom. 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.”

UPDATE - Timothy & Sarah Comising, National Church Planter, Philippines 8/31/10

Timothy & Sarah ComisingMagsaysay Institute of Shipping Pre-Sea Training Cadets, batch 3, was admitted July 18. Our lectures started the following Sunday. To date we're half done with our seminar. On the second week, Pastor Sam Comising extended an invitation to receive Christ as Lord and personal Savior. 60 of the 61 cadets raised their hands to indicate their desire to receive Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior. This was unusual since we usually explain the Gospel in groups of 7 and ask for a response on the last day of the seminar. God be praised for this very early response.

Another development in the church ministry is the coming to maturity of young people who were just listeners in our group discussions when we started the ministry two years ago. Today five of them who faithfully attended are now group leaders and facilitators. Other older men who served as facilitators are now leading in our morning worship services. The Lord has seen fit to train our youth and men in this ministry. To God be the glory.

UPDATE - Metedieu & Marie Lucien, National Church Planter, Haiti 8/30/10

Metedieu Lucien familyOur God is the Living God, He is Sovereign. As you know, my country, Haiti, experienced the worst catastrophe and tragedy in its history, the  earthquake  of January 12th. The quake, which lasted 35 seconds, killed about 300,000 people and Port-au-Prince, Jacmel, Leogane and Petit-Goave were devastated. I lost some friends and relatives; God in His sovereignty spared my life and family, but allowed my church to collapse.

New ChurchDear brothers and sisters, I thank you for your prayer and support; owing to it great things have been done. I am rebuilding the church but still worshiping in the open air. Keep praying for us to get the roof done soon. The next day after the quake, I visited some areas and met a lot of hopeless kids laying in the streets whose parents were killed. My wife and I took 10 of them to live with us. We started an orphan home called New Hope Orphanage.

UPDATE - James & Grace Cung, Church planter to US Burmese 8/30/10

James Cung familyGreetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I'm James Van B. Cung and right now I'm serving our God among the Burmese people in Battle Creek, MI. In Battle Creek, more than one thousand Burmese people are living. Most are refugees. Among these more than 300 are Roman Catholics, and around 100 are Seven Day Adventists. Others are nominal Christians. By the grace of God in the last month I witnessed to a Catholic and two nominal Christians. They converted. I praise the Lord for that. On August 1, I baptized the three of them. There is much to do here in Michigan. We need to win many souls to Christ. We need all of your prayers. This month I have planned to share salvation in one family. Kindly pray for me. Thank you and God bless.

UPDATE - Samuel Comising, National Church Planter, Philippines 8/30/10

Samuel ComisingLike the Psalmist who extolled God’s goodness, I can say that in spite of the many struggles and challenges that we have to go through in our lives and ministries, God still upholds us so that we can serve Him faithfully.

Last month, I visited Blessed Hope Christian Church in Gaswiling, a recent addition to our churches, planted last April, 2010. The purpose of my visit was to secure a lot where our brethren can construct a chapel for worship. The Lord has provided a 250 square meter property beside the main road. Please pray for the fast processing of the lot title so we can immediately construct a place for worship.

Our medical mission in BHCC, Molino, held July 24, was successful as well. It was held for our brethren, their relatives and our neighbors. One hundred fifty-five patients came for checkups; they also received medicines and New Testament Bibles from Gideon’s International. Please pray for us in the work of follow-up for those who prayed to receive Jesus Christ as well as those who requested home Bible studies.
