UPDATE - Etienne & Adjatougbe Degbey, National Church Planter, Togo 7/15/10

Etienne & Adjatougbe DegbeyWe thank God for the marvelous work that he is doing in my life and in that of the church. Most of the time, Lord surprises me with the souls that he adds to the church. By the grace of God, these new believers grow in the knowledge of God. Now, 10 persons are the baptism class and are waiting to be baptized. Visits and door-to-door evangelism are being done to bring lost souls to Jesus Christ.

From 2008 to 2009, we were bothered with floods in the garden of our main church. This summer, it is even worse. Water got inside the shelter and the classrooms for two Sunday school

Bekoffi familyDear ones in Christ,
Warm Christian greetings to you in the most precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We thank God for His grace which is renewed for His church at Tabligbo, Togo. By His grace, the church grows, especially on the spiritual plan. Brethren, we continue to thank God for His goodness and His righteousness, not forgetting His mercies. We thank you again from the very bottom of our hearts for your prayers and your special part in serving the Lord with us at Tabligbo.

We know that in our actual situation, you have a willingness to help us and the ministry at Tabligbo. We are confiding in our Lord that you would do it with the most willingness and you would make the utmost efforts to support us and the ministry. If the Lord would burden your heart to help us and the ministry at Tabligbo, Togo, please send your gift to IGM.

UPDATE - Kossi & Agathe Anika, National Church Planter and Children's Ministries, Togo 7/14/10

Kossi & Agathe Anika"I thank my God upon every remembrance of you" (Philippians 1:3)
We greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We hope this newsletter finds each one of you in very good health. By his grace, our family is doing well. We are grateful to those who think of us, pray for us and support us in the ministry. God bless you.

As usual, it is our joy to write and keep you updated of what the Lord is doing in our ministry at Apedokoe Village. We are glad to see that many children are confessing the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. That is the aim of our ministry here. You all know that a children’s ministry without games does not go too far. For that reason, we have transformed a small part of our compound (60x40 ft) into a soccer field; its name is "Jesus Saves Soccer Field".

UPDATE - Koffi & Elisabeth Wodome, National Church Planter, Togo 7/14/10

Koffi & Elisabeth WodomeThe month of May began with two graduations in the family. First Elizabeth graduated with an Associate Degree on May 13, and the next day, Friday, the whole family went to Pensacola Christian College for Joshua's graduation. Those were days of rejoicing, and the excitement culminated when we saw our son walk on the platform to receive his high school diploma. We wanted to shout, “THAT IS OUR JOSH! GREAT JOB, WELL DONE!” but had to hold it until the last student was off the stage. We also are thankful to the Lord that Joshua chose to attend PCC. The school year is also over for Samuel. We are having a lot of fun.

Our deputation took us to five different states, where we had great meetings. We praise the Lord for Dr. Crum and his family, who made their guest apartment available for us while we spoke in churches in Madison. From there we continued our trip to Elkhart, where Brother Dave Singell and his wife Val also took good care of us. We resumed our travel with our last meeting in Wanatah, IN. In every one of the churches we have visited, we have met godly people and congregations who love the Lord and are serving Him faithfully. It is amazing for us to see the Lord at work as we share the common vision of reaching the world with gospel.

UPDATE - Ben & Elise Meloro, Missionary, Nova Scotia, Canada 7/14/10

Ben & Elise MeloroGreetings from sunny--today, that is!--Nova Scotia. As I am writing this, I am reminded of Hebrews 12:1-2: "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith..." As all of us are running this race together, may our eyes focus on Jesus as we draw near to that finish line!

Speaking of running, Elise and I just celebrated 16 years here in Nova Scotia! We praise God for all the great things He has done in our lives. We actually have “Landed Day” written on our calendar next to June 9th. That is the date that we went through customs in Canada and were admitted as “Landed Immigrants”. To remember that day, we read from the journal where Elise wrote down how God had provided a bus to move us, a house to live in, finances to cover it all and many more details. Most importantly were and are the wonderful people God placed in our lives. We are so grateful for each one of YOU! We thank God always for you.

UPDATE - Aseervadam (Pr. Blessing) & Sampurnam Polimetla, National Church Planter, India 7/14/10

Blessing & Sampurnam PolimetlaGreetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus. We are praying for you daily in our prayers. Please pray for me also.

We believe the Bible and the words and promises of the Lord will be fulfilled their time. As the Lord says about his second coming in Matthew 24:6-14 and Luke 17:26-27, the signs are being heard and seen around the world. Everywhere we are seeing floods, earthquakes and wars very often. I am thinking the Lord is coming very soon. People in the world are not hearing the Gospel, and those who are hearing are not accepting Christ as their personal Savior. Worldliness and nominal Christianity are increasing. The time is very short and the goal is very long to reach perishing souls with the Gospel. As you may know, I am preaching the Gospel through a local TV station in our mother tongue (Telugu), every Monday, from 11-11:30 AM. This costs $250 US, 4 times per month. To meet this need, God helped me through my son and some other local sponsors who are inspired by God. Pray for it to continue without break, because millions of people in India are idol worshipers. Through the Gospel only we may reach them and redeem them from their sins. In India only 3% are Christians, so the burden is great for me as an Indian to bring my fellow countrymen to our Savior.

UPDATE - Wilson & Pamela Maungo, National Church Planter, Kenya 7/13/10

Wilson & Pamela MaungoDear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, thank you all for your constant prayers and support toward the work of God in East Africa and  Independent Gospel Bible Institute in Bungoma, Kenya. It is committed supporters like you who make things happen. Brethren, there is no better way we can serve God and have a strong and sound church than when our leaders attend the Bible school to be taught the truth of the Word of God. We have tested this and found out that we need our people in leadership roles to be trained in the things of God. Pastors and workers at schoolThe Bible says "...ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (Jn. 8:32) The best way our people can know the truth is from being in the Bible school. However, we find this challenging because many of the people who need training can't afford even the little fees we ask for their being in the Bible School for a week. Many people seriously want to come and be taught. I now pose this as a challenge to you; lift this serious and urgent need before the Lord. For one week each pastor needs thirty dollars for food and transportation. The school will appreciate your prayers and support.

UPDATE - Larque & Rose Vaye - National Church Planter, Liberia 7/13/10

Vaye familyIt is already July, and soon December will be here. It reminds me of the words of the Lord Jesus; that we should “do the work of Him that sent us while it is day, because the night is coming when no man can work”. The Apostle Paul also said that we should “[redeem] the time because the days are evil”. We need to do this, because the Lord will be here at any time.

Larque Vaye familyGod has been good to us for the past six months. The children are all fine. Our new daughter, Gifty, has now gotten used to everyone in the house. At first she would not come to me. School has just closed; the children passed and will go on to their next classes. At present, Rose and some of the kids have gone to the farm to plant cassava. The three older boys are with me at the house.

UPDATE - Aldred & Olive Wedderburn, National Church Planter 7/12/10

Wedderburn, Aldred & Olive

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, Lord and soon- coming King. Let me thank you all for your intercessory prayers to God on my behalf. By now you may have heard of my heart illness. Since March of this year, it has been discovered that there is a complete blockage of the upper section of my heart, which prevents the blood from flowing freely to my head and upper body. My pulse was down between 30 and 37 per minute; it is a little up now. All the doctors and specialists have informed me that I have to get a pacemaker, which will cost approximately $400,000 Ja [approx. $4,700 US].

As a result, I am being suspended from driving and preaching activities for the present. I must go easy for now. No medication is being prescribed for me. Please pray that the funds will be met by the end of this month.

May God richly bless you all.

UPDATE - Ron & Angie Onks, IGM Missionary to Australia 7/9/10

Ron & Angie OnksA few weeks ago, Ron was explaining the gospel message and teaching about mankind’s sinful condition in one of his volunteer religious education classes when a student suddenly said in a desperate voice, “Pastor Ron, can we do it now, can we trust in Jesus Christ right here in the classroom?” Ron told the entire class they could pray to trust in Jesus Christ wherever they are and at any time. However, he suggested they do it in the privacy of their own bedroom and he suggested a prayer to help them. The reason Ron suggests they do it privately is that he wants to make sure that each student who prays to trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior is truly repentant about their sin and committed to the LORD. Ron does not want to produce false conversions which so often occur in group prayer; he desires the Holy Spirit to work in their sinful hearts to convict them of their sin and need for Jesus Christ. We are delighted to share with you that already dozens of students now have told Ron that they have truly trusted in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Oh, how that thrills our souls!
